Well, it's official. I am a Knitty reject.
I submitted a pattern for a scarf I designed to be considered for the Fall issue, BUT- no go.
Oh well. At least that means I can blog about it now!
So here is....
The Best Friend Scarf!
I designed this scarf after I realized that the scarf I usually wore is made out of alpaca -which I have developed an allergy to. So, a new scarf was needed. I chose a yarn made out of wool and silk because it was soft and light like alpaca, I also like the shine that comes from the silk. The light colored version was made with RYC Silk Wool DK in the Limewash color, the red version was made with RYC Cashsoft DK in the Opulence color (no silk in this one though).
I am going to try to figure out how to have it available here somewhere, but in the meantime, If you would like a copy of the pattern just let me know and I will send it to you.
UPDATE: I am a Knit-geek! I now have a link that will allow you to download the pattern. It is just above my profile. If you knit this up I would love to hear how you like it!

Knitty, Schmitty... whatev!!!
I think it a GREAT scarf!!!
Hey Cindy! Thanks for making your pattern available. I'm sending you a PDF version that you can offer to those who may not have MSWord.
Very pretty indeed.
oh HELLLLLLLLLLLLS no! i LOVE your BFF scarf.. WTF!
Ditto on Jeni - Knitty, schmitty. It's beautiful, and I'm going to make it. But first I'm going to spin some of my birthday alpaca roving into the right weight yarn (yeah, like I have that much control). Thanks for sharing it - I can't wait to get started!
Who needs Knitty anyway? The scarf is Fab. I am putting it in my Ravelry queue.
Ooh, pretty!
Knitty? We don't need no stinking Knitty. We've got you, our knitting geek. :)
Pretty! Sorry Knitty didn't take it.
Gorgeous scarf, I love it. Thanks for posting the pattern, I will definitely be making one. Ooh maybe out of some more Fiesta Boomerang I have! Mmmm.
I love it! I have just the yarn in my stash for it too! Thanks for posting the pattern.
I love your scarf! Should I add it to my Ravelry queue (which is more a "wish I could knit this" list rather than "I will knit this next" list)? Lemme think on that.
It's fabulous!! Clearly they don't know a good scarf when they see one.
Cindy, thanks for visiting my blog and commenting (and it was a lovely one too). I do some knitting as well (a baby sweater, one for my husband and a scarf so far). Your blog has interesting designs.
I like your pattern! Will make this scarf for a gift.
