No Fun to be had.

It is a gray day.
I am recuperating from a flu bug.
I hate being sick.
It makes me grumpy and whiny.
Two others in Casa de Teenagers have been struck down.
We are grumpy and whiny together.
Therefore...

I am knitting.
I am knitting lace.
I am knitting cashmere.
I am knitting (slowly) a sock from Sock Madness.
I am knitting a sweater for my husband. (well, it's in my knitting bag anyway)
I am knitting a sweater for myself.

I am also spinning.
I am now enjoying spinning.
Last week I was gleefully jumping up and down enjoying spinning.
I am spinning many different types of fiber together.
I am learning how they are all different.
I really liked the silk cashmere.
Purlesence has fiber on sale this week.
I think they are evil temptresses but I love them anyway.
Yes, I still get to experience the drop in Drop Spindle.

Here is another close-up of the cashmere lace that shows the stitch pattern a little better.

Next week:
  • "Improved health brings improved attitudes!"
  • "Adventures with Bailey"

Get well soon! Having the Spring flu is just awful. But I guess that lace that pretty might make it a bit better. :)

They are evil temptresses. It's part of their appeal. I'll have to get my wheel fixed up so that you can really catch the spinning bug. :)

Hope you feel better!

Feel better! Sending chicken soup vibes your way. (The sweater I'm making for for my husband is firmly in my bag, too.)

Hi Cindy, dropped in to see how the shawl was going. I managed to get hold of some rather nice fine cashmere too, and was wondering about a shawl. Once I saw yours I was hooked...
