California Dreamin...

The Summer days are so glorious at the moment. The backyard is beautiful this time of year and it is lovely to take a cup of coffee or a glass of wine outside to enjoy it. Yes, I take my knitting too. This is my view from my favorite place...

I have been knitting away on the Mystery Stole and am almost done with clue 4, but I am realizing (and was convinced this morning by Hannah) that I need to lengthen the stole, so I have a bit more knitting to do before I can get to clue 5, aka "the wing". Interesting design idea really. I look forward to seeing how it turns out. I am ALL about lace these days.

I haven't done so much on the Print o' the Wave lately, but I have been working away on Thelonious, which is a really fun pattern and looks great with the Tofutsies, don't you think?

There are lots of exciting things happening here at Casa de Teenagers, we are getting ready for a new school year, Giselle is off to Germany for a year to be an au pair and there are many other things brewing which I hope to tell you about in the weeks to come. In the meantime, I am going to go stroll out to the backyard and enjoy that lovely bit of paradise that is California Summer. Wish you were here!

Beautiful! I love flowers and I wish I had a small garden of my own.

Very lovely Cindy. Makes me think if the roses and grape vines my dad used to grow at the house I grew up in.

Your roses are beautiful! and that shot of the grapes is really cool, are you making home made wine? ;^) The mystery shawl is turning out really nice, I kind of wish I had signed up for it now!

Cindy, is today (Sunday 12th) by any chance your birthday? If not, then it's the birthday of someone close to you, right?

Happy happy day to you or yours.

And keep on enjoying that California sunshine. Wish I was there!
