- using a fingering/sport yarn makes for more stitches than a "true" sportweight
- feeling rushed at the start due to errands that I had to make and thus making a mistake in the pattern that more careful reading would have avoided
- going to Bobaknit Thursday night- well not really, that was fun and they are my cheerleaders - that was my "represent" moment I guess!
- having early morning plans for both Friday and Saturday meant I couldn't stay up as late the night before
But really I just had too many things to take care of in the last couple of days and since Bryan was out of town I had no one to share the burden. Oh well. Now I can finish the socks at my leisure and cheer from the sidelines. (Dang!)
We will now return to our regularly scheduled blogging...

Right there with ya, girl. Oh well. Sideline cheering and leisurly sock knitting are fun, too.
Drat! Sorry you got eliminated, but it was a great effort. Yay, you!
Boooo. You did an awesome job and had fun though! And now you will actually be able to talk to us at boba :)
See, I toldya you need an "Alice" for when Bryan is out of town ;)
The socks are looking awesome though!
awwwwwww... sensei - i'm sorry for your loss. you've worked hard and now - dire need of dark chocolate. :) i'll be over with some later. kisses!
You did better than I. I just finished sock one last night. I cast on for sock two but I am not at home and forgot my pattern. Also, the second ball of yarn. I like your socks! The pattern is fun too. I will also make it again, maybe in fingering weight. I think we were at a disadvantage from the start being on the West Coast. My rival finished her socks before I got home from work on Friday afternoon.
